GVO’s commitment extends beyond direct service delivery to research and advocacy. Through studies on sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) in humanitarian crises and transitional justice processes, the organization informs policies and programs that better protect survivors. Advocacy efforts include developing the National Action Plan to implement the Maputo Protocol in South Sudan and campaigns to reduce trial durations in GBV and juvenile courts. By participating in global and regional platforms such as FP2030, Girls Not Brides, and UHC 2030, GVO amplifies the voices of women and girls, influencing policies that advance gender equity and human rights throughout South Sudan.
